Welcome to Kindergarten!
I will be using this site to post a weekly newsletter updating you on the adventures in kindergarten this year! I will also post pictures of projects we are working on, and share a glimpse into the classroom.
Below you will find links to websites your students use often in class. If they have access to the internet at home, these are great sites to practice with your kiddos.
I will also add the school calendar to the resources tab of this website, as well as any forms that are sent home.
Make sure to check back every Friday for any updates!
About me!
My name is Annika Curtin, and I’m so excited to be your kindergarten teacher this year! This is my fifth year teaching, and I am thrilled to share it with you.
I attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota where I graduated with my BA in Music Education in 2019. I then went to the University of Northern Colorado to get my Masters in Teaching with my Elementary Education Licensure. I graduated that program in 2020.
My husband AJ and I have been married for four years now and have two dogs, Tank and Odie. This spring, I had my first kiddo, Matthew! In my free time I enjoy being on my paddle board, hiking, reading, and being with family!
In my classroom, I encourage a family like community where each student cheers on their peers. As students start the year they will be encouraged to question and develop critical thinking skills while also building on their social emotional learning.
The best way to reach me is by email: acurtin@dcsdk12.org
